Day 1 Friday the 27th of January

The beginning of the day. Deadline Games had sponsored some of the event, and thus were admitted some free advertising space with the Total Overdose posters.

Through a giant volunteer effort and offering free Unity licenses, Over The Edge Entertainment (OTEE) were also sponsors of the event.

For early comers, OTEE sponsored a Unity tutorial. On the picture you see co-owner Nicholas Francis going through the program.

Registration.

After registration, the Game Jam started off by dividing people into groups. The idea was that nobody was allowed to leave the room untill everybody had a group. The first part of this small "game" was being lead by Henriette Moos from Diginet who was doing a small introductory game, so that people could get to know eachother.

After the initial round of getting to know each other, the attendees were required to pitch ideas to eachother. Everybody could pitch as many ideas as they wanted. All ideas were taped to the blackboard, so that it was possible to read the game pitch later on. On the picture you see Jesper from NDS pitching his idea (probably Box World).

Jonas from pitching ( He ended up doing One Gun).

Peter from Diginet reiterating the rules. Peter did a great job being the practical guy all weekend, and should receive a big applause for that.

More pitching from what ended up being the Battle of Words group.

Some of the Groove Zone members.

At the of the alloted time, the blacboard was just covered in pitches. Who said game ideas were a dozen a dime?
